Education and Outreach

Kala Sangam has an established history of developing and delivering arts and education projects and workshops in schools. We deliver a range of high-quality activities and events with the aim to increase understanding and awareness of different cultures, provide talent development pathways and to provide every young person and child the opportunity to engage and learn through the arts.

School’s Takeover Week

Working with local primary school’s mostly from the BD3 area of Bradford in which majority of the children have little to no engagement in the arts, we host several days of arts activity ranging from Bhangra Dance to Break Dancing.

Creative Workshops

Kala Sangam delivers creative workshops in a range of different art forms from dance to visual arts.  We work with professional artists and creative practitioners to create and deliver fun-filled, educational workshops.  These workshops are suitable for all Key Stages and are flexible in regard to prices and timings.

Online Resources

Kala Sangam also offers a range of online resources; these resources are ideal for home learning and classroom teaching. Our online resources have been designed to encourage creativity and movement throughout the school day.

Arts Award

Arts Award supports anyone aged up to 25 to grow and develop through the arts and to take part in the wider arts world.

Kala Sangam is an Arts Award centre and supporter and has advisors trained from, Discover up to Silver level. At Kala Sangam we are keen to support children and young people to achieve their Arts Award whether that be through our own delivery or your setting.

Artsmark is the creative quality standard for schools and education settings, awarded by Arts Council England, recognising their commitment to high quality arts and cultural education.

Here at Kala Sangam we are proud to say we are an Artsmark Partner which means we can support schools and education settings on their Artsmark journey and help to embed arts and culture across the curriculum.

Neutral venue visit as part of the Linking Network

For a number of years, Kala Sangam have been a neutral venue visit location for the Linking Network programme in Bradford. Whether it’s in partnership with Braford Cathedral or independently, Kala Sangam provide fun and creative activities in order to help children and young people learn and build skills alongside their peers.
